About our Longwood Dental
OfficeWe are
not your typical dental office. We know the difference between
a "waiting room" and a "reception room". If you're tired of
long waits, impersonal care, or being herded in and out like cattle
in a mass production setting that seems primarily focused on
just "fix and repair"....then Sweetwater Smiles just might be
what you're looking for. We provide care for the individual,
not the masses. We do not double book our patients except in
the most unusual emergencies. (If you just broke off your
front tooth and you're bleeding, you don't want to be told "our
schedule is full today!") We have no sliding glass door in our
reception room or a clip-board for you to sign. You'll be
greeted by a warm, smiling team member who's glad you're here!
My daughter is an interior designer, and you'll appreciate the warm,
soothing colors we have waiting for you in our office.
We understand that
choosing a new dentist and a dental health team can be a challenge,
leaving you with some uncertain feelings. We'd like to share more
specifically our beliefs concerning the types of services we offer
and why. Some time ago we wrote a belief statement which clarifies
the purpose of our practice. Briefly stated it is this....
"We
believe each person has the right to become as healthy as
they choose to be. Our desire is to help our patients
achieve a higher sense of self-esteem and well-being by
enhancing their appearance, their comfort and ability to
sustain health. We achieve this by providing dental health
care of the highest quality each patient can accept that is
consistent with their dental needs and individual value for
health."
In short, our goal is
to help you become as healthy as you choose to be. This is a
major departure from
the way in which we were trained. Instead of telling you how healthy
you should be, we try to help you understand your choices about
dental health and let you make an informed choice regarding health
and treatment needs.
Your first decision in this
regard is how you would like to begin your relationship with us.
There are FOUR
LEVELS of care in which a person may wish to be treated in any
dental practice. Which one are you looking for? Click
on the link to the left to learn not only about the Four Levels
of Dental Care, but the Four Levels of Dentists who are
able to deliver some or all of those Four Levels of Care.
Depending on the level of care you're looking for, you'll be able to
find the right dentist that will be able to give you what you're
looking for.
We're happy to accept most
any "real" insurance
you may have. We also offer the Quality Dental Plan for
patients with no insurance. Find out more on the
Financial Options page.
